Capital Project Delivery Program
The project is currently in the second phase, Local Preliminary Engineering, where Ocean County advances the preliminary design of the Preliminary Preferred Alternative (PPA) selected during Local Concept Development. The purpose of this phase to further develop and refine the PPA with the detail necessary to identify the project limits and impacts and secure the approval of the environmental document required by the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA). Project Funding
This project will receive federal funding included in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, (Public Law 117-328) Division L, Title I, Highway Infrastructure Programs. This funding will be authorized through the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s (NJDOT) Division of Local Aid and Economic Development and will follow the NJDOT Capital Project Delivery process.
